Safety Officer, 100MW Solar Power Plant

The safety officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving occupational health & safety (OHS) practices across the 100MW solar power plant. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

Requirements

1. Completion of a diploma from recognize institute (NIOSH SL, DOSH CIPM, Dip in OHS Colombo University) with minimum 1 year of experience.
2. Completion of a recognized OHS certificate (NIOSH or NIBOSH) with a minimum 03-years’ experience.
3. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.

Key expectations

1. Maintain legal and regulatory compliance.
2. Site safety implantation.
3. Conduct site safety training, and awareness sessions, and toolbox meetings.
4. Capacity to work independently and confidently.
5. Capability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Support sustainability programs and related actions.
