Quality Control Officer

The quality control officer will ensure all food handling, processing, and distribution activities comply with food safety standards, regulations, and company policies. The role will oversee food safety systems, conduct risk assessments and quality checks, monitor compliance, and drive continuous improvement in food quality and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain food safety systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC, GMP, etc.).
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify food safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and certifications.
• Train staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality control practices.
• Investigate complaints and non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to maintain food safety.
• Maintain records for audits, inspections, and certifications.
• Stay updated on food safety regulations, trends, and best practices.
• Support safe, efficient, and sustainable food system practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, microbiology, public health, or a related field.
• Professional certifications.
• Strong knowledge of food laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to identify risks and implement solutions.
• Effective communication and training skills.
