Quality assurance executive – male

Role overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented food Quality Assurance Executive to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and compliance across our operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of food quality systems and be willing to travel regularly to company outlets, and operational facilities to conduct inspections, audits, and quality assessments.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct routine quality inspections of food products, warehouses, and operational processes.
2. Visit company outlets to verify FIFO (First in First Out) implementation and stock rotation practices.
3. Monitor food storage conditions, hygiene standards, and product handling procedures.
4. Check expiry dates, batch control, stock rotation, and product quality compliance.
5. Prepare and submit detailed quality inspection reports and recommendations to management.
6. Investigate quality-related complaints and recommend corrective actions.
7. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company quality standards.
8. Conduct product quality evaluations and shelf-life monitoring.
9. Verify product labeling, packaging integrity and storage requirements.
10. Coordinate with warehouse, sales, procurement, and operations teams to improve quality performance.
11. Assist management during quality audits and compliance inspections.
12. Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives and food safety programs.

Candidate profile

1. Diploma or degree in food technology, food science, quality management, or a related field.
2. Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and FIFO practices.
3. Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, food service, or quality control will be added advantage.
4. Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
5. Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
6. Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
7. Willing to travel extensively to company outlets and supplier locations.
8. Ability to work independently and maintain high professional standards.
9. Age below 35 years/preferred male candidates.
