Role profile
- Implement and maintain the occupational health and safety management system (ISO 45001:2018), ensuring continuous improvement across operations.
- Lead risk assessments in all departments to proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Promote leading safety indicators including near-miss reporting, hazard observations, and proactive hazard controls to build a preventive safety culture.
- Foster a positive safety mindset across the organization.
- Support the development, review, and execution of business continuity plans (BCP) to safeguard critical operational functions.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness efforts including training, drills, and readiness evaluations to ensure effective response in crisis situations.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and safety training programs to verify legal compliance, promote best practices, and build internal capability.
Personal profile
- BSc in engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, or diploma in engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Certified in occupational health and safety management systems and environmental management systems from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of OHS and sustainability practices, particularly in manufacturing environments.
- Proficient in risk assessment methodologies, emergency response planning, and incident investigation processes.
- Experienced in implementing and managing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, with familiarity in legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Skilled in analyzing safety and sustainability data to prepare performance reports and driving improvement strategies.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities with a proactive mindset for building safety culture and driving sustainability initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills within diverse, cross-functional settings.
