Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

Supports software quality assurance by designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring applications meet functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborates with developers and stakeholders to improve product quality through bug tracking, test automation, and continuous evaluation of system performance.

Role & responsibilities

1. Develops and executes manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
2. Identify defects, create related documentation, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution with development teams.
3. Review requirements and design test scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and release processes.
5. Participate in regression, integration, and system testing activities.
6. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Requirements & qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
2. Basic understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and QA processes.
3. Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
4. Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python) is an advantage.
5. Understanding of automation testing tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills will be an added advantage.
7. Good communication and teamwork abilities with a willingness to learn and adapt.
8. 1 year experience in a similar capacity.
9. Experience in FinTech domain is an added advantage.
