Factory Manager

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Factory Manager to manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our furniture manufacturing facility located in the Matale Town area.

Candidate profile

• Male candidate, below 45 years of age
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in furniture manufacturing
• Experience in factory or production management is preferred
• Good knowledge of furniture production processes, materials and machinery
• Strong leadership, workforce management and communication skills
• Ability to plan production schedules and meet deadlines
• Good understanding of quality control, material usage and waste reduction
• Ability to work under pressure and take responsibility for factory performance

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily factory operations
• Plan and monitor production according to confirmed orders
• Coordinate cutting, carpentry, assembly, painting, upholstery and related sections
• Allocate labour, machinery and resources efficiently
• Ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are achieved
• Maintain required quality standards throughout production
• Monitor material usage and minimize wastage
• Maintain discipline, safety and factory housekeeping
• Coordinate with management, projects, stores and purchasing teams
• Provide regular production progress updates to management
