Head of Quality Assurance & New Product Development

Our client is looking for an experienced professional to lead its quality assurance (QA), research & development (R&D), and new product development (NPD) functions. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, develop high-performance construction chemical solutions, and contribute to the company’s continued growth in both local and international markets.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead the quality assurance (QA), research & development (R&D), and new product development (NPD) functions, aligning initiatives with the company’s strategic objectives.
2. Drive the development, testing, and commercialization of innovative construction chemical products while leading import substitution and product improvement initiatives.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, marketing, and quality, to ensure successful product launches and continuous quality enhancement.
4. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for new product development and business growth.
5. Provide technical leadership by resolving product-related issues, mentoring the R&D team, and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline. Experience in construction chemicals will be a distinct advantage.
2. Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, research & development, and new product development within the construction chemicals industry (e.g., waterproofing systems, admixtures, coatings, adhesives, sealants, etc.).
3. Demonstrated success in developing, launching, and commercializing new products.
4. Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
6. Passion for innovation, sustainability, and delivering high-quality products.
