Manager – Health & Safety

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing effective Safety programs to ensure compliance with group EHS guidelines, Standards & local regulations, monitoring safety compliance, and reporting safety issues and progress to the top level.
  • Conduct accident-abnormality incidents and near-miss incident investigations and study occupational injuries and determine probable causes and make recommendations for corrective actions to be taken to prevent the recurrence of the accident, incident, or injury.
  • Carrying out, Supervising, and Monitoring the Top 10 safety activities and submitting a comprehensive report to the safety committee at the monthly safety meeting.
  • Conduct regular safety auditing and report results to top-level, inspection programs and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintaining EHS & ISO documentation and improvements of ISO 9001&14001procedures.
  • Liaise with the government authorities on Safety & health matters.

Qualification for the ideal candidate

  • BSC Degree in Engineering/ Applied Science/ Environment sustainablity or equivalent Qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience, in a similar capacity preferably in a manufacturing industry. NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (UK).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Should be very familiar with environmental law.
