SIT is currently seeking ‘Engineer or Assistant Engineer-for structured cabling service and special installation projects. The candidate should have experience with data, voice, and video systems. Looking for a motivated self-starter who can work independently and long hours (when necessary) to get jobs done. Essential duties and responsibilities consist of but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform site survey, design cabling/ floor plans, develop the scope of work and materials list including preparing BoM
- Monitoring contractors on installations of infrastructure caballing (Data, Voice, Power, and other systems) projects
- Responsible for running cabling of various types as per standard guidelines
- Termination and testing of new cabling and installation of associated hardware
- Good knowledge of structured cabling and other advanced technologies
- Setting up new telecommunications and data equipment such as Switches
- Remove abandoned cable
- Ability to troubleshoot and trace cabling
- Perform site survey & design cabling/ floor plans
Qualifications & Other Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity
- Diploma in Computer Hardware or structured cabling related industry certifications will be added advantage
- Having skills in preparing scope of work and materials list including creating BoMs is a distinct advantage
- Good Customer Service skills
- Willing to travel on a regular basis
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must be a positive minded and hard working person
- Having a valid riding license or/and own Motorcycle is/are an added advantage
- Age between 23 – 35 years
