Senior planning engineer

We are looking for a dynamic, qualified, and experienced professional who possesses the following criteria to join our dynamic team for the post of senior planning engineer.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and resource allocation.
2. Develop and monitor project schedules for buildings, roads and infrastructure works.
3. Track project progress and identify delays, risks, and bottlenecks.
4. Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely execution of project activities.
5. Optimize the use of resources to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
6. Monitor project budgets and control costs effectively.
7. Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to management.
8. Manage variations, changes, and claims related to project schedules.
9. Ensure compliance with project timelines, quality, and safety standards.

Qualifications

1. B.Sc. degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in planning for civil engineering projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies related to buildings, highways, bridges, and infrastructure works.
4. Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera (preferred), and MS Office.
5. Good communication and coordination skills.
