Treasury Sales Dealer

As a dealer, FX sales you are responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of FX products to a set of strategic and transactional clients. You will provide professional, high-quality services to Cargills Bank’s customers by offering a range of vanilla and derivative FX products and services, whilst remaining within agreed risk, credit, legal and operational limits.

Job responsibilities

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, SME, retail, and other prospective clients to understand and service their treasury needs.
  2. Actively market and sell treasury products such as foreign exchange deals, interest rate hedging, money market instruments and fixed income products.
  3. Negotiate competitive exchange rates and pricing with clients to generate FX and treasury revenue.
  4. Efficiently handle administrative tasks such as FX deals (spot, forwards, swaps) processing and report writing, and any other tasks required to ensure the efficient operation of the treasury department.
  5. Provide advisory on market trends, risk management (FX, interest rate, liquidity), and optimal treasury solutions.
  6. Collaborate with Relationship Managers (RMs), branch networks, credit teams, and other business units for cross-selling opportunities.
  7. Comply with all regulatory requirements, KYC/AML policies, internal risk procedures, and ethical standards (e.g. ACI Code of Conduct).
  8. Prepare weekly/monthly reports on client growth, deal volumes, profitability and pipeline.
  9. Drive and optimize customer deposits and market competitiveness while consistently delivering the highest standards of client service.

Experience & qualifications

  1. Minimum 5-10 years of proven experience in treasury sales, dealing or corporate relationship management within a licensed commercial bank.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field.
  3. Diploma in treasury and risk management / CBSL treasury dealing certificate / ACI dealing certificate.
  4. Professional qualification in CFA, CIMA, FRM, or ACIB would be a distinct advantage.
  5. Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks (currency, interest rate, and liquidity risks).
  6. Proficiency in financial systems and tools and excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
