Tech Lead – Java Spring Boot

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join our growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead technical initiatives, mentor developers, and drive architectural decisions in a dynamic environment.

Key requirements

Technical skills

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
• Solid experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar)
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable applications
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs

Preferred qualifications

• Financial services or fintech experience is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Leadership & soft skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strategic thinking with attention to detail
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable applications
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
• Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in architectural decisions and technology selection
