Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual functional, UI, regression, and system testing for web and backend applications.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Execute test cases, log defects, track resolutions, and verify bug fixes.
• Perform API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
• Ensure compliance with software quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain test documentation, release notes, and test execution reports.
• Work with version control tools like Git and test case management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• (Good to Have) Assist in API automation testing using tools like Postman (Newman), RestAssured, or Cypress.

Required Skills

• Manual Testing: Functional, UI, Regression, Cross-browser, and System testing.
• API Testing: Postman, Swagger, or any REST API testing tool.
• Bug Tracking & Test Management: JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
• Test Documentation: Writing clear test cases, scenarios, and defect reports.
• SQL Knowledge: Ability to write basic queries for data validation.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Scrum/Kanban processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of QA experience in software testing, primarily manual.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an Agile environment.
