Systems Engineer

Paragon IT is a fast-growing MSP with offices in Melboume and Sri Lanka. We provide our small and mid-tier enterprise clients design, management and support for their information technology infrastructure.
We are currently looking to expand our team to accommodate our exceptional business growth. As a Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of our technology team. This is a busy and varied role, the ideal candidate will have experience working with Microsoft technologies, backup
solutions, firewalls, switches and storage technology. You will have had to have experience deploying physical infrastructure and virtual environments along with migration workloads.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the development and installation of new networking and computing infrastructures.
• managing incoming IT support calls and emails
• managing of Autotask support console to meet SLAs
• Selecting the best possible solutions using knowledge of a wide range of available technologies.
• Monitoring systems in the existing network to ensure there are no productivity set-backs.
• Installing and configuring operating systems and application software.
• Implementing best practices for system security and data backups.
• Anticipating potential issues or bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions.
• Troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues when they arise.
• Communicating effectively with IT support staff to ensure the setup process runs smoothly.
• Liaising with vendors and keeping relevant stakeholders up to date with developments.

• Your proactive approach means that you actively communicate regularly, making sure that
• your customers are kept abreast of new seNices, emerging technology as well as efficiently
• resolving any issues. Effective and clear communication skills are therefore essential

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years IT support experience. Experience working for a MSP, consulting and I or current Microsoft certifications are a bonus
• Proven track record of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting cloud-based systems.
• Exceptional knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
• You will be interacting directly with end users and IT decision makers, therefore an ability to translate abstract technical concepts to day-to-day business needs is a valuable attribute.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
• Experience in Windows Server Technologies I Windows Desktop Support
• Experience in Azure Cloud Technologies and M365

• Working hours 3.30am – 11.30am Monday to Friday
