Managed Services Team Lead

The Role

The Managed Services  Team Lead works closely with Software Engineers to help them deploy and operate different systems as well as provide support for client applications in production. In addition, they help to automate and streamline Novigi’s operations and processes. 

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Managed Services  Team Lead  include:

• Troubleshooting and triaging client support issues in a timely manner in line with agreed SLAs.
• Providing accurate and timely updates to clients on issue progress and status and keeping internal teams up to date
• Providing inputs for client reporting
• Liaising with and working closely with the Client Partnership team to ensure that the support function is running smoothly.
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation of client deployments
• Knowledge and skill development in new technologies and related tools to introduce to Novigi in order for growth  in agile development environment
• Writing automation scripts when required
• Providing direct server support on various operations
• Writing automated scripts as required

Note that the role includes shift work to meet client requirements overseas. The successful applicant will be required to work rotating shifts.

The skills required for the Managed Services  Team Lead  role include:

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to directly communicate with clients overseas as required
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Team player, with the ability to work well with a diverse group of people
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Fluent command of the English language

Technical Skills

• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as IT or Computer Science
• 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role in DevOps / Support/ Platform Engineering
• Thorough knowledge of Cloud ( AWS/ Azure/ GCP etc) would be mandatory
• Knowledge of databases such as MsSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc
• Good experience with Kubernetes and Docker would be mandatory
• Solid knowledge of Linux and underlying infrastructure concepts  
• Knowledgeable of Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Maven, git, etc
• Familiar with configuration management tools, for example,, Ansible, and Puppet.
• Knowledge of Monitoring systems such as EFK, Cloud Watch
• Programming experience (Bash, Python, Java, etc) would be ideal
• Experience working with the WSO2 Platform will be highly regarded.
• Certified in AWS/Azure/GCP 
•  Experience in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
