JAVA tech lead

Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka & Finance PLC, a well-established Finance Company, and a subsidiary of Bank of Ceylon is looking for a professionally qualified, dynamic, and result-oriented individual to join the IT team as;

Job Role

• Help solve critical issues.
• Revamp the technical architecture.
• Build high-performance and scalable web services and involvement in development.
• Contributing to the overall design specification and standards will enable the team to produce highly functional and sustainable products.
• Actively participate in meetings related to Agile development methodologies such as planning, reviews, retrospectives, and status reporting.
• Work with business engineers, users, and managers in the design process for software products and services.
• Communicate software designs to other software engineering staff members through code and textual and pictorial documentation as needed.
• Lead the end-to-end implementation and support of the software by leading by example to ensure complete quality coverage and high degrees of responsiveness to any issues that come up throughout the complete lifecycle of the software.
• Ensure the intended design and quality levels are met through regular code reviews and testing of the software in development.
• Technology leadership for end-to-end tech delivery.
• Planning and coordinating release activities.

Profile

• IT (Software) Degree and 5+ years experience in Java development and Prior experience in leading a medium size development team.
• Excellent knowledge of DEE, Angular, MySQL, and Restful API web Services
• Working and configuring Tomcat and/or WebSphere and software automation servers in windows and Linux environments.
• Excellent knowledge of Git – Configuration & Versioning tool.
• Excellent written, communication skills along with fantastic liaising skills within the team across the enterprise to resolve complex cross-application issues.

Age: Preferably below 45 years
