HR Manager

Manaco Marine (Pvt) Ltd is one of Sri Lanka’s leading marine services companies, specialising in international crew management, maritime recruitment and maritime training. Serving globally recognised shipowners and ship managers, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead our human resources function and support the company’s continued growth.

Role

1. Attending to all HR functions of the company (recruitment, training, performance evaluations, etc.)
2. Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
3. Handling grievances, disciplinary and termination procedures.
4. Ensuring compliance with Sri Lankan labour laws and statutory requirements.
5. Advise the CEO and senior management on HR strategy, workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, and people-related initiatives.
6. Drive employee engagement, retention, organisational development, and culture-building initiatives.

Profile

1. MBA or bachelor’s degree in human resource management or business administration from a recognized university.
2. Minimum 7–10 years of HR experience, including experience in a managerial position.
3. Age between 35–40.
4. Thorough knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws and HR best practices.
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
6. Proven experience in performance management, talent management, organisational development, and employee relations.
7. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
