HR executive – payroll & IR

Key responsibilities

  1. Manage end-to-end payroll administration and ensure timely salary processing.
  2. Coordinate with the finance department on payroll processing, salary payments, statutory remittances, and payroll reconciliations.
  3. Ensure compliance with EPF, ETF, APIT, gratuity, and all statutory requirements.
  4. Handle industrial relations (IR) matters including disciplinary inquiries, grievances, and employee relations issues.
  5. Oversee attendance, leave administration.
  6. Prepare HR and payroll reports for management decision-making.

Qualifications & experience

  1. Degree or professional qualification in human resource management.
  2. Minimum 2–3 years of HR experience with exposure to payroll.
  3. Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws, EPF, ETF, APIT, and disciplinary procedures.
  4. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems would be an advantage.
