Head of Treasury | Treasury Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s liquidity, optimizing funding costs, and diversifying our borrowing portfolio. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate traditional banking relationships while aggressively pursuing innovative and international funding avenues.

Qualifications

1. A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accountancy. Professional qualifications or qualifications in treasury, investment and risk management.
2. Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a treasury function within a bank or a reputed finance company.
3. Specialized expertise: Proven track record in arranging foreign funding lines and managing complex financial negotiations.
4. Network: An established network within the local banking sector and international developmental financial institutions (DFIs) is a distinct advantage.

Key responsibilities

1. Relationship management: Act as the primary point of contact for banks and financial institutions to ensure seamless credit facilities and operational banking support.
2. Funding diversification: Lead the identification and arrangement of alternative funding sources (e.g., debt instruments, securitizations) beyond traditional bank borrowings.
3. Foreign funding: Leverage expertise to identify, negotiate, and secure foreign funding lines and manage international lender relationships.
4. Liquidity & risk management: Monitor cash flow requirements and oversee market and liquidity risk in alignment with the ALCO framework.
5. Strategic reporting: Provide the board and senior management with insights on market trends, interest rate movements, and cost-of-funds optimization.
