Executive – Local Authority Approvals (Telecommunication Projects)

Luminex PLC is a leading infrastructure development organization with extensive experience in telecom network development, electrical infrastructure, civil engineering, and utility projects across Sri Lanka.

As part of our continued expansion in telecom network development projects for leading mobile network operators, we are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented professional to manage and expedite local authority approvals and statutory clearances.

Key responsibilities

1. Coordinate and obtain approvals, permits, permissions, wayleaves, and statutory clearances required for telecom network development projects.
2. Liaise effectively with government and local authorities and other regulatory and utility agencies as applicable.
3. Maintain strong professional relationships with authority officials and stakeholders.
4. Ensure timely submission and follow-up of approval documentation.
5. Coordinate internally with project managers, engineering teams, and clients.
6. Track approval status and provide regular progress reports.
7. Support project planning to minimize approval delays and project risks.
8. Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Candidate profile

1. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in obtaining local authority approvals, preferably in telecom, infrastructure, utility, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
2. Strong knowledge of approval procedures and documentation requirements across local authorities.
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
4. Ability to work independently and deliver approvals within project timelines.
5. Proficiency in MS Office and reporting systems.
6. Valid driving license and willingness to travel island wide.

Preferred

1. Previous experience handling approvals for mobile network operators or telecom infrastructure projects.
2. Existing exposure to statutory approval processes and authority coordination.
