Senior Systems Support Engineer

Qualifications and Competencies

• More than 6 year experience in the IT industry
• More than 3 year experience in System administration, IT infrastructure management, DevOps or similar responsibilities
• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in IT or similar qualification from recognized university
• Hands-on experience in RedHat Linux and RHCSA/RHCE certification is essential
• Adequate knowledge of IT infrastructure including network/ application/ systems/ servers and operational support
• Adequate knowledge of Unix systems and Windows servers
• Adequate knowledge of databases such as MS SQL/MySQL/ OracIe
• Adequate exposure and experience in System security and compliance
• Excellent communication skills and customer services (Sinhala/ English)
• Excellent documentation and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and to work in an on-call roster
• Ability to prioritize and time management is essential
• Willingness to work beyond office hours to complete urgent support activities is must
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
• Ability to train and mentor junior resources
