Deputy General Manager – Finance & Strategic Planning
About the company
Our client, a specialized bank listed with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka, with an island-wide branch network, is calling for applications from dynamic and result-oriented professionals with extensive exposure to the banking industry to provide strategic leadership and drive sustainable growth and organizational performance in the areas of finance & strategic planning and information technology.
Responsibilities
As a DGM – finance & strategic planning, you will oversee the finance division and treasury back office, ensuring all transactions fully comply with accounting standards, CBSL, CSE, and internal policies. Drive strategic budgeting, profitability, tax compliance, and annual report preparation while managing external audits and stakeholder relations.
Candidate prerequisites
- A full professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., CA, ACCA or CIMA).
Added qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, banking, management, business management or another relevant discipline obtained from a local or foreign university recognized by the UGC.
- A Master’s degree in banking, business management, finance or another relevant discipline, obtained from a local or foreign university recognized by the UGC.
- Should have worked as a “key management person”.
Experience
- 05 years’ post-qualifying experience, of which 03 years should be at the senior executive management level in a bank or licensed finance company.
Age
- Should be between 35 and 55 years of age as at the closing date of applications.
