The Colombo Friend-in-Need Society is looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and qualified counsellor to join our team in Colombo 02. This role primarily involves providing vital psychological support, guidance, and empathetic care.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide professional psychological counseling and psychosocial support to individuals navigating physical trauma, lifestyle changes, or emotional distress.
2. Conduct initial assessments and offer continuous emotional guidance as part of our holistic rehabilitation team.
3. Maintain strict confidentiality and high ethical standards across all client interactions.

Minimum requirements

1. Qualifications: Post graduate diploma (PGD) in counselling from a recognized university or institute.
2. Skills: Excellent active listening, empathy, strong communication skills, and emotional resilience.
3. Experience: Prior experience working with trauma, rehabilitation, or within a non-profit/charitable framework is a distinct advantage.

Remuneration

1. Salary: LKR 80,000.00 per month.
