Systems Engineer (Level 3)

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user technical support at levels 1 to 3 on Microsoft systems. 
  • Willing to work on an overseas calendar and time zone between 4 p.m. and 12 a.m. 
  • Set up and manage Windows server farms 
  • Manage and administer Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 
  • Proactive monitoring alerts and notifications ensure system availability and performance. 
  • Ensure that change, incident, and problem management processes are followed and updated in order to detect and prevent incidents. 
  • Conduct research and develop solutions to complex technical issues as soon as possible. 
  • Update and maintain internal technical documentation on a daily basis, in addition to day-to-day maintenance tasks. 
  • Manage the Infrastructure Backup process and monitor it on a daily basis. 
  • Manage and deploy all systems’ monthly patches and system upgrades. 
  • Client Engagement – Help clients manage their products. Focus on each client experience and make every interaction meaningful. 
  • Problem Solving – Listen, ask questions, and put yourself in the client’s shoes. Act like an owner by taking accountability for client issues and knowing when to lean on others when needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience at the Engineering level in overseas operations or MSP is required. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer science 
  • Microsoft certification MCSE or MCSA is a must 
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks. CCNA is added advantage 
  • Strong systems management knowledge in Microsoft server architecture 
  • Very good understanding of Microsoft active directory, security, and Office 365 
  • Good understanding of virtualization platforms, specifically VMware 
  • Experience in tools Connect Wise, Veeam, and Solarwinds will be added advantage. 
  • Must be fluent in English in all verbal and written communication 
  • Demonstrated front line Customer Success experience 
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with little or no supervision 
  • Excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace. 
  • Ability to ensure customer issues are handled appropriately, and escalating issues when necessary
