Assistant relationship manager – elite banking
Job profile
- Manage a portfolio of approx 200–225 HNWI customer relationships delivering a world class customer experience.
- Ensure wallet share retention and portfolio incremental growth by maximizing outcomes through cross selling and upselling to the portfolio.
- Proactively acquire new customer onboardings and managing portfolio health indicators effectively.
- Deepen relationships with the portfolio by understanding customers’ financial needs and providing timely solutions to suit their needs (i.e., wealth management products).
- Operate in an environment free from any operational lapses, audit failures, and regulatory lapses. Ensure no KYC breaches when onboarding and managing relationships, and timely carry out Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) review.
- Dedication and passion to serve customers driving the right outcomes and delivering high service standards expected.
Applicant’s profile
- Diploma in Applied Banking and Finance (DABF) or the Higher Diploma in Banking and Finance (HDBF) from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) OR a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
- Full professional qualifications in Finance, Marketing, or a related field are an added advantage.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in front-line customer service roles, with strong relationship management skills, including exposure to managing high-net-worth segments in priority banking.
- Good understanding of banking products, mainly deposits, retail lending, investment options, and treasury products.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and perform consistently in line with business objectives set.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Multi language skills will be more advantageous.
- Customer-first mindset in all actions and deeds, and be available for your portfolio at call.
