API Developer – Remote

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs using best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure APIs meet high standards for security, performance, and scalability.
• Implement authentication and authorization protocols.
• Optimize API performance through tuning, caching, and other techniques.
• Troubleshoot and debug API issues reported by internal or external users.
• Stay up-to-date with API developments and emerging technologies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years Proven work experience as an API Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency with programming languages (Java, Python, or Node.js.)
• Experience with API design standards, patterns, and best practices (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with API security standards and implementation (OAuth, JWT).
• Database experience (SQL or NoSQL) for integrating APIs with data sources.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger, Postman).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Understanding of Cl/CD pipelines for API deployment.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
