Senior front-end developer (Content Management Systems)

Responsibilities

• Provide HTML/CSS/SASS/JS coding support for website features and functionality
• Oversee and manage a team of front-end developers, while coordinating with client and third-party back-end teams
• Review codes are written by other developers and maintain high coding standards
• Ensure webpages render correctly across multiple browsers/versions with consistent look and feel
• Work with git repositories on Bitbucket, branching and merging code appropriately
• Write JavaScript code for interaction and functionality based on Webpack, JQuery, and Bootstrap JS libraries
• Ensure HTML/CSS works well with external analytics services such as Google Analytics
• Create and update MVC views (Razor/CSS HTML files) based on UI/UX requirements, and if needed, collaborate with back-end developers to make appropriate changes
• Spearhead defining and enforcing coding standards in existing and new web pages
• Maintain and update responsive SASS-based CSS framework to support desktop, tablet and mobile browsers
• Willing to learn new technology and adapt to technology/platform changes. For instance, the candidate should be willing to learn either React or AngularJS and keep oneself updated on the technology to cater to future requirements

Required Background

• Willingness to work in UK shift
• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• More than three years of experience working on Responsive Web Design- (RWD) based websites, preferably on .NET MVC projects
• Strong HTML, CSS, and RWD skills, including experience with Bootstrap 4 and SASS
• JavaScript knowledge with working experience in JQuery and similar libraries
• Strong understanding of Git and testing on browser stack
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact effectively with staff and clients over email and phone
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Knowledge/interest in capital markets, funds, and asset management will be an advantage
