Technical Manager / Garment Technician

Estilo Apparel (Pvt) Ltd is looking for an experienced and technically strong Technical Manager / Garment Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Hanguranketha.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee garment construction and technical requirements from initial stage to bulk production
• Identify and implement the most efficient sewing methods and production techniques
• Prepare and validate SMVs, operation breakdowns and method studies
• Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve technical and construction issues
• Improve productivity through method improvement, workstation engineering and line balancing
• Guide operators, supervisors and production teams on correct sewing methods and workmanship
• Review samples, specifications and buyer requirements before production
• Support new style introduction and ensure smooth production start-up
• Identify opportunities to reduce production time, improve quality and minimize rework
• Maintain required technical and workmanship standards throughout production

Candidate profile

• Strong experience in garment manufacturing / apparel technical operations
• Excellent knowledge of garment construction, sewing methods and industrial sewing machinery
• Strong knowledge of SMV calculation, method study and production engineering
• Experience handling technically complicated garments will be an advantage
• Ability to independently troubleshoot production and quality-related technical issues
• Strong leadership, communication and team-development skills
• Hands-on, practical and result-oriented approach
