Senior Cutting Supervisor

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cutting department.
• Plan and allocate cutting work according to the production plan and delivery requirements.
• Monitor marker efficiency, fabric utilization, and minimize fabric wastage.
• Ensure cutting is carried out accurately according to patterns, markers, size ratios, and approved samples.
• Supervise cutting operators, spreaders, helpers, and other cutting-room staff.
• Allocate manpower and machines effectively to achieve daily production targets.
• Check cut panels for accuracy, shade variation, defects, and correct bundling.
• Train, guide, and evaluate cutting-room employees.

Required skills & experience

• Strong knowledge of garment cutting processes and fabric handling.
• Good understanding of markers, patterns, spreading, cutting, bundling, and fabric utilization.
• Ability to read and interpret cutting orders, markers, patterns, and production documents.
• Good leadership and manpower-management skills.
• Ability to meet production targets while maintaining quality.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Experience with cutting machines and related equipment.
• Previous experience in a garment factory, preferably in a supervisory or senior cutting position.
