Senior Executive – Middle Office

We are seeking a result oriented Senior Executive – Middle Office to join our team. In this role you will support the day-to-day monitoring and reporting of market and settlement risk within the Primary Dealer unit.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor market risk parameters daily, identifying and escalating limit breaches and transaction discrepancies on a timely basis.
• Verify and reconcile RTGS and fund transfer activity to ensure settlement accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare and maintain the risk dashboard and risk register, ensuring reports to management are accurate, current, and insightful.
• Coordinate risk management committee logistics and maintain the action-point tracker, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
• Coordinate business continuity plan (BCP) drills and compile outcome reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Compile and analyse portfolio and risk data for the RMC, ALCO, and CEO, contributing to informed decision-making.
• Conduct periodic reviews in line with departmental monitoring routines, proactively escalating matters of concern.

Key qualifications & skills

• Degree in finance, business, risk management, or a related field; CIMA / CFA (part-qualified or higher) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in market/treasury risk, primary dealer operations, or a related function within a bank, primary dealer, or financial institution.
• Strong working knowledge of government securities, money market instruments, and settlement processes (RTGS/SWIFT).
• Advanced Excel and quantitative analysis skills; exposure to risk systems or Bloomberg is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, sound judgement, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
