Requirements

• Mid-level field experience as a naturalist / nature guide, preferably in a wildlife lodge or ecotourism setting.
• Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan biodiversity – mammals, avifauna, herpetofauna and flora, with strong field identification skills.
• Familiarity with the Wilpattu landscape, its dry-zone ecosystems and the surrounding area.
• You’ll also lead our junior ranger activities, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with young children and can make nature fun for them.
• Competence in guest interpretation – nature walks, birding sessions, safari briefings and evening talks.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Genuine passion for nature, wildlife and conservation.
• Relevant qualifications, certifications and work experience to be submitted with the application.
