Accountant – Financial Reporting

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented accountant to oversee the financial reporting function across the group’s leisure-sector companies and support management with timely, accurate and meaningful financial information.

Key duties & responsibilities

• Coordinate with the accountants of each group company/property to ensure timely submission of monthly financial information.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts for assigned group companies.
• Prepare and coordinate group consolidation reports and consolidated financial information by collecting and reviewing financial data from individual group companies.
• Review financial information received from individual companies for accuracy, completeness and consistency before reporting.
• Prepare consolidated and management reporting based on information received from individual companies.
• Prepare company-wise, sector-wise and property-wise financial reports as required by management.
• Monitor reporting deadlines and proactively follow up with relevant teams to ensure all submissions are completed on time.
• Follow up with respective company accountants to ensure QuickBooks and other accounting/ERP systems are updated accurately and on a timely basis.
• Monitor the timely recording of daily transactions, receipts, payments, invoices, journals and other accounting entries by each company.
• Analyse financial results, budgets and variances and highlight significant movements or issues to the top management.
• Coordinate with company accountants to resolve discrepancies, missing information and reporting issues.
• Review system-generated reports and financial data to identify missing entries, unusual movements, discrepancies or delays.
• Regularly follow up on bank reconciliations, receivables, payables, accruals, prepayments and other key accounting schedules to ensure records are up to date.

Candidate profile

• Corporate-level qualification or above in CA or an equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Relevant experience in financial reporting, management reporting and group-level reporting.
• Proven experience in preparing or supporting consolidated financial statements and group consolidation reporting.
• Experience in a listed company/PLC environment will be a strong advantage.
• Experience working with multiple companies, business units or subsidiaries will be advantageous.
• Good analytical and reporting skills with a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines.
