This growing and well-established company in the printing and manufacturing sector is looking for dynamic, responsible and result-oriented individuals to join its finance & accounts team.

Senior accounts executive

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely updating of the accounting system.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly closing and year-end financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers and customers when required.
  • Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and other working capital requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Support the finance manager / management in financial analysis and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Sri Lankan statutory requirements.
  • Experience in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Accounts executive

Key responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day accounting transactions.
  • Maintain sales, purchase, payment and receipt records.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and other accounting reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Assist in preparing monthly accounts and management reports.
  • Assist with VAT, SSCL and other statutory tax-related work.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Assist with audits and other finance-related activities.
  • Perform other accounting duties assigned by the finance manager.

Requirements

  • Part qualification in AAT / CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software will be an advantage.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.
