Network Engineer

J.N. Interiors is a leading interior designing and civil construction company which has earned its reputation for interior designing in Sri Lanka since 1998.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced network engineer to manage and support network infrastructure, connectivity, and IT systems across our projects and office operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient network performance while providing technical support and coordinating network-related installations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, and related network equipment.
• Monitor network performance, connectivity, and system availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, connectivity, and hardware-related issues.
• Coordinate network installations and IT infrastructure requirements at project sites.
• Maintain network documentation, configurations, and technical records.
• Implement appropriate network security and access-control measures.
• Coordinate with service providers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Perform regular system checks, maintenance, upgrades, and backups.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and project teams.

Qualifications & experience

• BSc in information technology, computer science, network engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in network administration or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network security.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and network monitoring tools.
• Good troubleshooting, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
• Willingness to provide support at project sites when required.
