System Administrator

We’re seeking a System Administrator with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience to join our team and support the infrastructure behind our websites, web applications, portals, workflow automation systems, and cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, systems, and infrastructure supporting websites, web applications, web portals, and workflow automation systems.
- Administer Linux and/or Windows servers, ensuring system availability, performance, and security.
- Handle deployment, configuration, and maintenance of development, staging, and production environments.
- Monitor system performance, logs, backups, and uptime; proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security configurations across environments.
- Support cloud and hosting environments (AWS / Azure / VPS / shared hosting).
- Work closely with development and QA teams to support releases, deployments, and production issues.
- Maintain clear documentation for system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes.
- Ensure regular backups, patching, and disaster recovery readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field in a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on industry experience as a system administrator or in a similar role.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar); Windows server experience is an advantage.
- Experience managing web servers (Nginx, Apache, IIS).
- Familiarity with database administration fundamentals (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, SSL/TLS, load balancing).
- Experience implementing and maintaining system security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience with Docker or containerized environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise or workflow-driven systems.
