Lead DevOps Engineer – iPay

Our client is one of the leading Insurance companies which is located in Colombo.
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps/Cloud/SecOps/System Engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Cl/CD tools, Container Platforms, and Configuration Management.
• Proven experience in Cloud Infrastructure (GCP/Azure).
• Solid understanding of Cloud Security, Networking, Cloud Database Services and System Architecture.
• Experience in scripting (Bosh, Python, etc.)
• Strong Leadership, Communication, and Problem-Solving skills
• Certifications in GCP/Azure/AWS or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Cl/CD tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Jenkins)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices
  

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps Engineers/Trainees
• Automate Infrastructure Provisioning Mg Infrastructure as Code (CC) tools – Terraform.
• Design, Implement, and Maintain Cl/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions.
• Manage and Monitor Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Oversee Containerization and Orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, Cloud base GKE/AKS.
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and reliability
• Drive Incident Response, Root Cause Analysis, and System Performance Tuning.
• Maintain and Improve observability through Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting Systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Assist with Cost Optimization, Performance Improvements, and Scaling Strategies
