Senior Quantity Surveyor

Grand apartments is seeking a senior quantity surveyor to support our apartment construction projects with accurate take-offs, cost estimates, and billing coordination. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working closely with both drawings and actual site conditions to ensure smooth material planning and financial tracking. This is a hands-on role that involves frequent site visits, coordination with engineers, and preparation of timely valuations and bills.

Key responsibilities

1. Perform accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and interim bills based on finalized drawings.
2. Prepare BOQs and detailed material calculations.
3. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
4. Conduct site visits to verify quantities and ensure feasibility in execution.
5. Track material consumption and reconcile with site usage reports.
6. Identify and resolve construction-related discrepancies under tight deadlines.
7. Coordinate with site engineers and management for timely valuations and progress claims.

Requirements

1. Diploma or degree in quantity surveying or civil engineering.
2. 5 years of experience in apartment or commercial projects.
3. Ability to read and extract quantities from drawings accurately.
4. Knowledge of local construction rates, materials, and billing formats.
5. Strong skills in Excel, AutoCAD, Cost X.
6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and reporting ability.
