Job summary
We are a well-established automotive company in Sri Lanka specializing in the importation of passenger and commercial vehicles. As we expand our portfolio with the introduction of a new vehicle brand to the local market, we are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized individual. This role is responsible for supporting sales operations while coordinating logistics, procurement, import documentation, and vehicle registration processes to ensure efficient and seamless business operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and manage sales documentation and customer files.
- Provide administrative support to the sales team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Monitor order status and coordinate production orders with suppliers.
- Coordinate import shipments and logistics activities, ensuring the timely delivery of vehicles.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs authorities to facilitate customs clearance.
- Coordinate pre-delivery inspection (PDI) activities and manage RMV registration processes.
- Prepare sales reports, maintain accurate records, and update relevant databases.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company policies, regulatory requirements, and import/export procedures.
- Coordinate procurement-related documentation and communicate effectively with local and overseas suppliers.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operational workflows.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales administration, logistics, procurement, or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of import/export documentation, customs clearance procedures, and logistics coordination.
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
