Property Manager

Responsibilities

• Look after the property — rooms, buildings, access road, walking pathways and the grounds
• Keep machinery and equipment maintained: generators, water systems, air conditioning, kitchen and laundry equipment, internet and TV systems
• Plan and supervise maintenance, repairs and preventive servicing; manage contractors and suppliers
• Allocate manpower across departments and check that each shift is properly covered
• Run the team on site: rostering, training, discipline and daily briefings
• Oversee day-to-day operations across front office, housekeeping, F&B, kitchen, maintenance and security
• Own guest satisfaction and step in personally on any issue the team can’t resolve
• Drive revenue beyond rooms — excursions, treatments, à la carte dining and beverages — and lead the team on sales targets
• Control costs: food cost, purchasing, utilities, payroll and stock
• Work with our naturalist to protect the wildlife habitat and keep guest activity low-impact
• Report to the directors on occupancy, revenue, costs and guest feedback

Requirements

• 5+ years in resort or hotel operations, at least 2 in a management role covering multiple departments
• Strong on both guest experience and numbers — budgets, P&L, cost control
• Boutique, nature or eco property experience preferred
• Fluent English; hands-on, practical and comfortable in a remote setting
• Able to lead and develop a small team
