Manager- Audit & Assurance

Overview

The Audit Manager will be a senior member of the Audit Division. The Audit Manager will be responsible for planning and executing of external audits, managing a portfolio of clients, conducting training and development activities, managing the audit engagement team, and supporting the partners of the firm in business development.

Responsibilities

• Effectively lead engagement teams in the planning and execution of audit and other assurance/review engagements
• Plan the portfolio of audit engagements while handling the complex technical matters, determine the resources and finalize the engagements.
• Update with relevant Accounting and Auditing standards applicable in Sri Lanka and the laws and regulations applicable
• Develop and maintain client relationships at the highest level
• Lead and develop less experienced staff through training, coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, and assign challenging work opportunities
• Responsible for providing feedback and completing performance reviews for subordinate

Qualification

• Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA)
• 1-3 years of experience in the field of Audit and Assurance at a reputed international accounting firm
• Thorough knowledge of SLFRS/IFRS and Sri Lanka Auditing Standards (SLAuS)
• Strong understanding of internal controls in different industries
• Significant presentation and business writing experience
• Experience of motivating and developing teams
• The ability to work under own initiative and in many different and stimulating environments
• Keen sense of business acumen by seeking new clients and developing business relationships within the community
• Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience in performing and reviewing audit engagements using audit software tools
