We are seeking a results-driven manager – transport to oversee and optimize all aspects of transportation operations, including dispatching, routing, fleet management, team supervision, cost control, and regulatory compliance to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective performance. Key responsibilities
- Direct transportation operations, including dispatching, routing, tracking, and scheduling of transportation and company vehicles.
- Planning, organizing, and managing subordinate staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company’s standards.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints while supporting customer service objectives.
- Collaborating with staff members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures as well as company revenue goals and customer service objectives.
- Arrange and oversee vehicle repairs and routine maintenance of vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with transportation policies, safety standards, and government regulations.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the transportation budget, fuel consumption, operational expenses, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and other transportation-related parties.
- Analyze transportation-related data and reports.
Qualifications & experience
- Degree in motor mechanism or full/part professional qualifications in fleet management from a recognized training institute (NVQ level 6 or above).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in transport and vehicle fleet management within a reputed organization.
- Sound knowledge of transportation operations, logistics, and fleet management.
- Good understanding of transportation-related government regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Computer literacy and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
