Manager | executive – HORECA (DB foods division)

About the company

Darley Butler & Co. Ltd markets some of the most popular FMCG brands in the Sri Lankan market. DB foods division is at the forefront in the bakery ingredients industry supplying a wide variety of high-quality products across the island. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and result driven individual for the position below.

Key responsibilities

1. Expand the company’s HORECA customer base across hotels, restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and catering establishments.
2. Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth within the HORECA channel.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and customers.
4. Promote the company’s portfolio of bakery ingredients and food products through customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
5. Achieve agreed sales targets and profitability objectives.
6. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements, and provide timely market intelligence.
7. Coordinate with principals, marketing, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure excellent customer service and product availability.
8. Prepare sales forecasts, business plans, and periodic performance reports.

Candidate profile

1. Proven experience in sales, business development, or key account management within the HORECA, food service, FMCG, bakery, hospitality, or related industry.
2. Qualifications in sales/marketing, food science, hospitality management would be advantageous.
3. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
4. Ability to work independently and deliver results in a competitive environment.
5. Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
