About the company

Meta Tax is a specialist tax and accounting advice and consultancy agency based in Melbourne, dedicated to assisting clients to maximise their tax refund and lodge tax returns.

The Colombo office will liaise with the Melbourne head office in assisting clients regarding their financial and accounting matters. Complete basic training in Australian taxation will be provided to the candidate before starting the job. Job role

• Preparation of financial statements and tax returns – SMSF, companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
• Preparation of the quarterly monthly/quarterly instalment activity statement and/or business activity statements.
• Identify tax issues and value-add opportunities.
• You will report directly to a partner who will help provide the professional development required to progress your career.

Job requirements

• School leavers with A/Ls in the commerce stream.
• Have started professional studies such as CA or CIMA final-year undergraduates.
• High energy and enthusiasm with a strong commitment to exceeding client expectations.
• Ability to learn quickly and provide value – added service to our clients.
• Confidence and ability to effectively demonstrate skills and knowledge.
• Team player with a desire to be an active, long term participant in the growth of the firm.
• Strong technical and organisational skills.
• Time management and dedicated work ethic.
• Experience in preparing tax returns – companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals would be an added advantage.
• CA/AAT qualified or minimum, has commenced would be an added advantage.
