Head of finance

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven finance professional to lead our finance function and be a key member of our leadership team.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the overall finance operations
2. Develop financial strategies, budgets and forecasts
3. Oversee financial reporting, analysis and internal controls
4. Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax requirements
5. Manage cash flow, risk, audits and financial systems
6. Provide strategic insights to support business decisions
7. Build and develop a high-performing finance team

Requirements

1. Qualified professional (CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA / CMA)
2. Minimum 7-10 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
3. Strong knowledge of financial management, reporting, taxation and compliance
4. Experience in media, broadcasting or a similar industry will be an added advantage
5. Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills
6. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen

Finance executive

Join our growing finance team and play a key role in establishing and supporting our financial operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
2. Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
3. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports
4. Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow monitoring
5. Ensure compliance with statutory and internal requirements
6. Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers and stakeholders
7. Assist in payroll and other administrative tasks

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in accounting, finance or related field (CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA / CMA – part qualified or equivalent)
2. 2-4 years’ experience in finance or accounting
3. Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
4. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
5. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
6. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
7. Prior experience working in a channel is an added advantage
