Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the timely and accurate disbursement of employee salaries, bonuses, and other compensation components.
  2. Verify payroll inputs, including new hires, employee overtime payments, terminations, promotions and deductions.
  3. Reconcile payroll data with finance and accounting records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  4. Maintain comprehensive and accurate payroll documentation and records.
  5. Manage staff loan payments and ensure the timely deductions, reconciliations and maintenance of IFRS adjustment for staff loans on monthly basis.
  6. Implement tax changes, review payroll taxes, and prepare monthly PAYE taxes according to IRD regulations and conduct reconciliation.
  7. Address and resolve employee inquiries relating to salaries and taxation matters.
  8. Collaborate with internal departments such as HR, finance and IT to streamline and enhance the payroll process.
  9. Assist both internal and external audits relating to payroll operations.
  10. Prepare and generate periodic reports on payroll expenses.

Qualification

  1. A degree or special degree approved by the UGC and professional qualification at corporate level in CA Sri Lanka / management level in CIMA/ strategic level in CMA
  2. 1 -2 years’ of experience in similar capacity within the finance field.
  3. Age is preferably below 30 years.
