Job Role

• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated commercial assumptions
• Interact with Subchannels and Category teams to understand demand forecast drivers
• Utilize a collaborative approach by working with Category teams and Retail stakeholders to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts

Job Requirements

• Completed a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Statistics / Data Science / Business Management or an equivalent professional qualification
• Having 2 years of relevant work experience in a Supply Chain role involving a demand planning function
• Strong business acumen with strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Packages (MS Excel is a must) and Google Applications
• Communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil would be an added advantage)
• Have a “can-do” attitude and a pleasant personality
• Strong abilities to function well in a fast-paced and pressurized work environment and good knowledge
