Accountant

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders
• Preparing budget forecasts
• Handling all tax related work
• Publish financial statements in time
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.

We are Looking For:

• Be a member of AAT Sri Lanka or qualified in either CA or CIMA
• 3 — 5 years part qualified experience in similar capacity in a reputed commercial organization
• Experience in retail industry would be an added advantage
• Hands—on experience in QuickBooks, Xero and other IT applications is a pre-requisite
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• ERP experience will be an added advantage.
