General Manager
This is an exciting employment opportunity for an entrepreneur-minded, results-driven General Manager who is committed to providing excellent customer service, high guest satisfaction, strong employee relations, and leading an exciting business hotel in Colombo.
This vacancy will ideally suit a performance-oriented individual who is currently a General Manager or Resident Manager of an established hotel in Sri Lanka or the Asiatic region. As the Best Western Colombo Hotels’ foremost leader, the General Manager is responsible for setting the strategy and vision for the hotel and inspiring a culture of “Extraordinary” while driving market-leading guest experiences and financial performance.
Candidate Description
The ideal General Manager will possess an excellent sense of value-based service quality and an understanding of the expectations of trend-seeking young/millennial guests and business travelers. He or she will be a steward of the Best Western brand and is ultimately charged with positioning the hotel and upholding its global reputation for consistency. The candidate has experience with, and understands, the value of strong brands and how to play a role in promoting their growth. Additionally, the candidate’s significant business and financial acumen will maximize business profitability and performance.
Skills and Qualification
- Has held the position of Resident Manager (RM) or General Manager role
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Further (Course of study in business administration, Hotel Administration, or related).
- Minimum Experience: 10 years of hotel operations experience in leadership roles
- Foundational computational/technology abilities
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Due to expectations of the role — the ideal candidate will be below the age of 45 yrs
