Assistant Manager – Financial Accounting
What you need to do
- Provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support both internal and external reporting. Be an integral part of the Financial Accounting & Reporting function
- Act as a liaison officer for internal/external audits and act upon the recommendations/next steps arising from them
- Timely review and submission of tax payments and returns as per IRD regulations
- Analysis of expense/income streams as allocated and perform forecasts on a relevant basis
- Review and identify anomalies and find reasons for them. Present findings at different internal forums along with actionable insights
- Overlook key tasks assigned to team members on outlet-level finance-related matters
- Effective involvement in projects assigned on process improvements cost saving initiatives etc
- Lead, motivate and nurture a high-performing team
- Other ad-hoc reporting as required by the business
What you need
- Should possess a Professional Qualification in Accounting and a Degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 03 years experience in a financial reporting role within a finance division
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards [SLFRSs/LKASs] and principles
- Knowledge of statutory, legal, finance, and tax regulations
- Solid knowledge and understanding of finance functions
- Proficient computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Ability to analyze problems and strategies for better solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent team management and interpersonal skills to manage multiple internal & external stakeholders
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Accurate and precise attention to detail
- Ability to work in an ERP-enabled environment (Preferably SAP)
- Fluent in Sinhala and English
