Cargo Worldwide Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of PLAC Global Holdings PVT Ltd., is a fast-growing and dynamic logistics solutions provider. We invite applications from suitably qualified, proactive and results-oriented individuals to join our Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant.

Requirements

1. Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA or CMA (or a degree in accounting/finance).
2. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a reputed organization.
3. Sound knowledge of financial accounting, reconciliations, statutory compliance and taxation.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
5. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software.
6. Excellent communication skills in English (fluency).
7. Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities

1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
2. Perform bank, debtor, creditor and general ledger reconciliations.
3. Assist with statutory payments and tax compliance.
4. Support the annual audit process and internal control activities.
5. Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies.
6. Undertake any other finance-related duties assigned by the finance head/CEO.
